  • John E. Nurse Sr., 73, of Mount Ida, AR passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019 at home. John was born on April 18, 1945 in Milford, CT, to Robert and Mary (Hearn) Nurse. He is preceded in death by both of his parents and his wife Bonita Nurse.

    John is survived by his son; John Jr. (Andrea) Nurse and daughter; Shawn Nurse, grandchildren; Devin Nurse, Brooke Nurse, Conner Nurse, Zachary Olszewski and Tyler Olszewski, one great-grandchild, his brothers; Robert Nurse, Tommy Nurse, Peter Nurse, his sisters; Judy Chilly and BettyAnne Stokes, along with a host of other family and friends.

    Our families lived in Florida at the same time and we worked at the Sikorsky Flight Test Center. He was a friendly guy and our families shared some holidays together since we were the 1st families to move down there to support the facility. GOD SPEED!
